Happy birthday, granny!

She is ninety – it’s the great event and it was yesterday! My granny Rose as a real queen of family was sitting in the easy chair dressed in gorgeous snow-white vintage dress in the midst of her kith and kin, surrounding by the huge bunches of her favorite scarlet roses. As she is on modern lines her make-up was perfect and waved hair fell on her shoulders.

All guests congratulated her heartily, delighting with granny’s cheerfulness and a retentive memory. Oh, I think in my ninety, sure if I live till her years, my minds won’t be so clear and I’ll be forgetting all my friends and maybe even relations. Thank heaven, I write my diary – I’ll be able to refresh my memory in any moment!

My aunties and uncles asked me about my life and future husband with big interest as if I’m old maid. I should have planned my answers beforehand, but as I was upset with preceding events, I forgot about it and answered with small replies without details. At last granny Rose rescued me from those questions, asking me to sit down beside her. She stroked my hair, whispering the words of consolation to me about my future happy life with beloved man and those words were as balm on my broken heart.

Looking on my granny I thought about my grandpa who died many years ago and their love so cloudless and happy. I was always dreaming about such love full of fondness, warm fillings and care of each other. Falling asleep, I promised to myself – I’ll find my love for sure.
